Thank you so much for the opportunity to work on this exciting project.

1. BACKGROUND: Weiskamp Screen Printing is a family owned business that begun in Champaign, Illinois twenty-five years ago. As the name suggests, they do custom screen printing. They are not a typical money making business. Nearly the entire staff has a background in art. They carry a large selection of name brand T-shirts, sweatshirts, and polos. They have recently expanded to include a U of I campus location.

2. TARGET AUDIENCE: Students make up the largest percentage of Weiskamp's clients. Student organizations and sororities/franternities are frequent customers. The average age of the customers is probably in the early twenties. Other organizations in the Champaign-Urbana community also make use of Weiskamp. However for this particular project, Weiskamp is specifically targeting college students.

3. CHARACTER OF THE T-SHIRT DESIGN: The goal of the T-shirt design is to attract college students and make them want to wear one. The design should be something eye-catching, trendy, edgy, energetic, modern, attractive and fashionable. The T-shirt should be stylish and steer clear of a conservative feel. The original artwork needs to be fresh, cool, hip and fun, and appeal to both males and females. The design should be colorful, but not beyond three colors. The use of florescent and particularly metallic colors can be considered because they are available and in style.

4. APPLICATION: This T-shirt will serve as a limited edition promotional giveaway. Between 50 to 100 shirts will be handed out on Green Street in the heart of the University of Illinois campus to passer-bys in order to attract students to use Weiskamp for their screen printing needs. The T-shirt should be interesting to those receiving it as their wearing it will contribute to its effectiveness even further.

We look forward to presenting our ideas to you in a few weeks.

Thanks again!
