Subject: Web Site Re-design
Date: October 26, 2009
Thank you for the opportunity to offer some recommendations for your web site re-design. The following is a summary of objectives for this project.
Background: Parkland Theatre is a state-of-the art 314-seat mid-size theatre that offers both directors and actors the chance to perform in front of an intimate setting. Each season, Parkland Theatre offers a large variety of programs including musicals, comedies, drama, family-oriented productions and avant-garde productions. The Theatre’s cast and crew include students, community members, and professionals.
Target Audience: The target audience includes persons of all ages from novice theatergoers to well-seasoned patrons.
Objectives: The goal of this website re-design is to create a professional website that shouts high quality theatre. The website should be streamlined, colorful, classy, contemporary, engaging, and inviting. At the same time the site should quickly and visually present a sense of quality and an energetic dynamic. The color scheme should be bright and bold. A generous use of production photographs is preferred. The site should be accessible, professional, uncluttered and easy to navigate. A primary concern is to include a system with reservation capability for each production.
Application: The final website will include a template design that a webmaster can easily update and maintain. The web mock-up will be ready for presentation on Wednesday, November 4, with a proposed final deadline of Wednesday, November 25.
