Instructor: Liza Wynette

To learn advanced software skills through self-guided video tutorials on and in-depth research. To become proficient with digital tools for productivity and communication. To become independent lifelong learners.

Every week, you will be assigned video tutorial(s) on (see playlist). Completed Lynda tutorials will be graded pass/fail (based on the quality of your submission).

Note: Credit will be given each week only if your assignment is uploaded to Cobra's dropboxes on time.

Extra Credit

Watch any of the following movies and write a brief review when you post your homework assignment. Talk specifically about the animation in the film, i.e. composition, style, technique, design, sound, use of visual elements (line, shape, color, light). Make a recomendation to your fellow classmates on whether this is a movie worth studying.

(All movies listed are available at Parkland Library or That's Rentertainment)

  1. Login to your Cobra Learning account every week, select the "Course Documents" tab
  2. Select the assignment for the week and follow the instructions
  3. Post your completed assignment by Thursday (spelling, grammar and clarity of thought count!)
  4. Read and respond to at least 6 of your classmates by Saturday (respond to your team members first, then respond to posts that have the least number of responses)
  5. While responding to your classmates' posts, score their homework assignment by assigning one to five stars to their posts based on the grading rubric below.
Grading Rubic All components completed Most components completed Some components missing
Excellent content and clarity of thought (with no spelling/grammar errors) 5 Stars 4 Stars 3 Stars
Good content and clarity of thought (and/or some spelling/grammar errors) 4 Stars 3 Stars 2 Stars
Poor content (and/or many spelling/grammar errors) 3 Stars 2 Stars 1 Star

Students whose scores average 4 stars or more will receive a passing grade for each assignment (pending instructor review).

Your initial post is due Thursday at 11:30pm every week. You must also respond to your teammates' posts by the following Saturday at 11:30pm.

Note: Homework assignments are graded pass/fail. Credit will be given each week only if both the initial post and responses are completed on time.
