Objective

 

To apply Photoshop skills in the context of a creative assignment. To communicate ideas visually.

 

Description

 

 

What if you were in a band and your band needed a web site? What if you wanted to develop a little web animation to put on your web site? Photoshop is the ideal tool to help you create this animation.

 

Procedure

 

1. RESEARCH AND REFERENCE: Find existing web animation that you like and post them on your Google page to share with your classmates. You may download GIF animation or link to Flash animation.

2. DEVELOP THE CONCEPT: Begin to sketch out ideas for this project (see examples of sketches ). Include type from yuor CD cover. Keep the animation simple. Decide how you want to be photographed for this animated banner. Find costumes and/or props you need for the photo session and bring them to class (alternatively, find objects you want feature in the animation and being them in).

3. EXECUTION: Using Photoshop, translate your idea into an animated GIF file. Publish your animation on your personal Google Page.
