This special one-day field trip is designed for graphic designers who want to see what it's like to work in a larger urban market. We will be visiting a design firm, a boutique ad agency, a museum and two gallery openings.

In addition, you will also get a taste of the cultural diversity available in a city such as St. Louis.

Date: Friday, October 13, 2006 from 7:30am to past midnight

Cost: $35 (includes museum admission, all meals and beverages). Note: You may want to bring a camera and some pocket money in case shopping opportunities arise.

Reservations are required. Seating is limited. A $15 deposit is required with your reservation. Full payment by October 1, 2006 is required to confirm your reservation. Please make checks payable to Paul Young.

This field trip is open only to students currently enrolled at Parkland College. Priority seating will be given to Graphic Design students. Please complete this PDF form and bring a copy with you on the day of the trip.

• 11am: Tour of Kuhlmann Leavitt, a award-winning design firm

• 1pm: Soul Food Lunch at Del Monico's Diner

• 2:30pm: Tour of Core, an award-winning boutique ad agency (also see their latest project)

• 4pm: City Museum

• 6pm: Gary Panter and Art Chantry opening reception at Philip Slein Gallery

• 7pm: The Graphic Imperative opening reception at Washington University's Des Lee Gallery

• 8pm: Vietnamese Dinner at Mai Lee

• 10pm: Leave St. Louis

• 1am: Arrive in Champaign
